What's our story?
PeaceTags™ was founded in 2007 in the Pacific Northwest. Our founder, Fredda Golden, is the daughter of a veteran. She was heartsick over reports of horrific physical, emotional and spiritual injuries being suffered by service people. And clearly, a peaceful world is in everyone's best interest.
She felt the voices of wise sages from many cultures, faiths, and countries desperately needed to be heard TODAY.
PeaceTags™ reflect the hopes of many people. We can compassionately heal the wounds of war while working to ignite peace in hearts, homes and the world.
Volunteerism is a cornerstone of a healthy democracy...PeaceTags™ got off the ground due to the enthusiastic support of a wonderful team of volunteers. Time and talent have been tirelessly donated by: Fredda Golden, Maude May, Andy Himes, Stephen Toutonghi, Cathy Shilts, John Matty, John Comstock, Renan Jeffereis, Shelly Benes, Angela Burdine, Patti Savoy, Randell Walton, Marc Green, Andrew Hamada, Amy Reisman and many others.
Below are selected quotes about PeaceTags™ from our volunteer team. |
"My Dad, Larry Golden, is pictured here (middle) with a couple of army buddies in 1943. PeaceTags™ are a tribute to him and the countless others who have served their country. As the daughter of a veteran, I care about veterans' issues and know that a peaceful world would be in the best interest of us ALL! "

What could be simpler?" --Andrew Himes
"From the beginning, the PeaceTags™ project was important to me and I wanted to contribute my graphic design skills to help spread peace. I'm thrilled that this vision has become reality." --Maude May
